Your wedding dress is the single most important gown you’ll ever wear. No pressure!
To make sure you look absolutely stunning on your big day, the key is to choose a dress that highlights you and not the other way around. That’s why more salons are offering simple satin wedding dresses, to highlight brides’ natural beauty. Disappearig inside an over-the-top dress can be a bride’s worst nightmare, and that won’t happen with a simple satin gown. You never want your dress to wear you! You’re the star of the show, afterall.
Here are some things we love about simple satin wedding gowns:
Stunning shilouette

A simple satin dress is likely the most classic look you can choose on your wedding day. Satin gives the gown the necessary sheen to shine bright and look stunning in photos, and the simple shilouette will highlight your assets beautifully. Plus, there are pockets!
Full body beauty

Simple satin dresses can still be show-stoppers, especially ball gowns. This Cinderella look keeps it simple without any jewel embellishments, lace or beading. But wow does it make the bride look gorgeous!

Barcelona’s Bridal Week kicked off on Tuesday, and keeping with tradition, Rosa Clará opened up the festivities showcasing their 2016 collection.
The designer stuck with pretty traditional silhouettes, but each was giving a modern twist. Thick belts were added to accentuate the bride’s waist and a ball gown was split open in the front to reveal a shorter skirt underneath. The collection also included tea-length dresses, high necklines, embossed floral and a bit of bling.
Luscious fabrics took centre stage at Rosa Clará’s show, with guipure lace, Mikado silk and sheer tulle. She played around with various necklines, with dresses featuring square, high boat and strapless sweetheart necklines. Basically, it’s a collection that can suit many tastes, but is for brides looking for a bit of luxury.

Wedding inspiration app Loverly is spreading its wings by launching its very own collection of wedding and bridesmaids dresses, floral arrangements and vintage wedding decor. Called The Loverly Collection, the designs were inspired by data the app has gathered from its users and their tastes.
Using real-time insights, Loverly gathered information about what’s trending in the wedding industry. According to Business Insider, they then took this information to designers to put together curated collections that fit the ideals of Loverly’s users.

“As a search and discovery platform, we gain valuable insights into not only what our users are searching for but also what they aren’t finding,” said founder and CEO Kellee Khalil. “The Loverly Collection taps that insightful data while leveraging our brand affinity to create wedding must-haves today’s millennial brides and bridesmaids have been waiting for.”
The app’s first partnership is with designer Eva Franco for a line of bridesmaids dresses and looks for the more casual bride. The line was created using popular Loverly searches, such as colours like sage, blush and navy. There’s lace, crochet, a mix of silhouettes, and even jumpsuits and crop tops.

Franco’s line for Loverly will begin at $178 and is now available on the app’s website. Sizes range from 0 to 12.
