From gorgeous braids and free-flowing locks to the undone updo, here’s some inspiration from the hottest bridal trends of 2017 to help you find the perfect style for your big day.
Braids add drama, romance and charm. Tight and clean or loose and messy, braids can be a cool twist on the classic knot. (See what I did there?)
Flowing locks just feels fresh and unfussy. For the laid-back bride who wants to let it all hang out.
The undone updo feels natural and romantic. A few wisps of hair, a loose tease of height and a spot of side-swept fringe. Or maybe a combination of all.

The most important aspect of the hairstyle you choose for your wedding day must accomplish two things. It must make you feel deliciously pretty, and it must also keep you looking like you. Updos can be tight, traditional and detailed, or they can be sassy, romantic and messy. They can also be anywhere in between. If the wedding-day-fancy-you is thinking about an updo, here are a few inspirations for the year ahead.
The Double Chignon
The Halo Braid
Curly Romance
Impeccable lines
The Top Bun
Whichever style you decide on, make sure you do a run-through beforehand. It’s important to get a feel of how your hair will look on your big day, and sometimes what looks good on someone else, doesn’t do you justice. During the dry-run, don’t be afraid to get creative and try things that you didn’t think you would like. After you have a style in place that you love, wear it for the rest of the day to make sure it stays in place and that 200 bobby pins along with 4 cans of hairspray doesn’t give you a splitting headache after a few hours.

If you want to look like a princess in a fairytale, one of the most popular looks right now is the braided headband. It’s a great hairstyle for brides with long hair and no bangs.
It works perfectly for anything from a church wedding to a beach ceremony, and the best part is all the hair is away from the bride’s face so it accentuates the her gorgeous eyes and face.
This is a perfect DIY look for summer brides, and if you want to know how to get this gorgeous braided headband look, follow this simple how to guide and you can replicate this beautiful trend.

Step 1
This first step is to part your hair on the far side and brush all your hair across your head in the direction you want your braid to go. Then isolate the section you want to braid (you’ll want a section a few inches wide close to your forehead). You can also take a larger section if you have thin hair or want a thicker braid.
Step 2
With the section you want to braid isolated, start to french braid the hair – you can watch tutorials and practice, don’t try this the first time on your wedding day!
It’s confusing but with practice you’ll get it.
Step 3
Once the french braid is finished keep braiding regularly and tie the braid at the bottom. Now bin it behind your head, so the pins are hidden. The best way to pin the braid is to use two bobby pins and cross them in an X pattern under your hair at the base of your hairline and neck.
Step 4
Now you just have to style the rest of your hair. Loose curls work best for this look, but you can also pin your hair up into a messy bun. Get creative and fun and try out lots of different styles until you find the one that is just right for your special day.
