3 Breathtaking Canadian Outdoor Venues
When people think of beautiful outdoor venues, they often think of destination weddings in tropical locales or in old cities with beautiful architecture. It’s a shame, really, that Canadians sometimes forget to look at the natural beauty in their own backyard! Thinking of having your wedding outdoors, but want something a little more out of the ordinary? Here are some absolutely gorgeous and one hundred percent Canadian venues.
The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise
Located on the eastern shore of Lake Louise near Banff, this Fairmont offers guests an unparalleled view of the emerald waters nestled at the base of the majestic Victoria Glacier. Not only is this location great for spring, summer, and fall weddings, where the lake is at its most beautiful, but is also wonderful for winter weddings. The hotel offers all that a ski resort would, including ice skating and sleigh rides.

Blachford Lake Lodge
For the adventurous among you, Blachford Lodge is a remote venue location accessible via scheduled bush plane flights. The lodgings are modest and the food homemade, but if you’re willing to rough it for a while (you might even enjoy it!), the natural beauty of this locale is more than worth it. If you plan your wedding just right, you might be able to see the hauntingly beautiful Aurora Borealis!

Peggys Cove
A small community lying on the shore of St. Margarets Bay in Nova Scotia, Peggys Cove is a quaint seaside town home to the famous Peggys Point Lighthouse. This lighthouse is perched atop a spectacular rock formation, smoothed and rounded from hundreds of years of ocean waves. The view of the ocean is incomparable and would make for some great photos.
