See Vera Wang's Spring 2016 Collection
As Bridal Fashion Week wraps up, it is Vera Wang’s Spring 2016 collection that seems to have most heads turning. Moving away from the usual A-line, ball gown and mermaid silhouettes, Wang has instead opted for form-fitting gowns, sheer fabrics and a whole lot of lace and tulle.
Delicate Chantilly lace is paired with matching bra and panty sets, or with contrasting black pieces. Even with her simplistic mermaid gown and cut-out black dress, Wang is walking a fine line between lingerie and bridal wear — but it’s a line we are more than willing to explore.
To accompany the new collection, Wang has released a short filmed called Hotel Madrid, which was directed by Gordon von Steiner.
“Hotel Madrid. The beauty freedom mystery and intoxication of Spain. Intimate and personal, these women inspire a subtle yet nonchalant sexuality,” Wang said, according to InStyle. “Louche, lazy, luxurious. This is fashion through a youthful yet sophisticated lens.”
