5 Unique Ideas for a Travel Themed Wedding
Every couple has that ‘thing’ that makes them totally unique from others, yet totally compatible with each other. That might mean that you both have an adventurous side, love to travel and want to see the world together. If that sounds like you and your fiance, then a travel-themed wedding might be exactly what you’ve been wanting. These details with show-off your shared love for travel and perhaps even tell a few stories of your own adventures.
Passport Invitations

A great way to incorporate a passport into a travel-themed wedding is through the invitations and save-the-dates. Have the designer create your own unique crest for the front, and make the inside mimic that of a real passport — with destination stamps and a page dedicated to vital information, like the time and place of your wedding.
Suitcase Escort Cards

These tiny, adorable suitcases serve as escort cards. Guests simply look for their names (printed on old-school tags). Once they find their own suitcase, they open it up to find out which table they will be sitting at. This also provides guests with an extra little keepsake from your big day.
Globe Guest Book

Another lovely addition to your greeting table is a globe that doubles as a guest book. Have guests sign their names and well wishes all over the globe (ensure the size of the actual globe is big enough, depending on the size of your wedding). You can also personalize it by marking off places you and your fiance have travelled together, or have guests point out places around the world that they should visit.
Paper Map Florals

Use old maps from around the world to create some of your wedding florals. Above is a creative take on the boutonnière, but you can use a similar idea for your bouquet and even your centrepieces. This is also a great way to make use of maps that will likely end up in the trash instead.
Travel Card Table Numbers

Have fun with your table numbers! The ones above feature iconic silhouettes from around the world, perfect for a black-and-white themed wedding. You can have fun with these and turn them into your own DIY project. This is another great way to make use of old maps or postcards, or another way to incorporate travel essentials, like a passport or plane ticket, into your wedding day.
