4 Accessories for a 'Sailor Moon' Inspired Wedding
Any kid growing up in the 90’s can tell you that Sailor Moon, the TV show based on Naoko Takeuchi’s manga, was big. For a lot of us, it was our first exposure to anime and it holds a special place in the hearts of our inner children. If you’re a dedicated fan or even just thinking of using the series as inspiration for your wedding, here are some accessory ideas!

The crescent moon wand may be one of Sailor Moon’s most iconic accessories/weapons. Although the appearance changes over the course of the series and new wands are used, any of these will do as a bridal septer. From the simple, original wand to the glitzy Spiral Heart Moon Scepter; pick your favourite and take it from there!

As a fun touch, you can have your bridesmaids be your sailor scouts for the day. Equip them with their transformation wands, one for Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus. If you have more than four bridesmaids, feel free to include Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, and Pluto. Their accessories are a little different in canon, but you can use similar wands or personalize them to each bridesmaid (which could make for a fun DIY project!).

Another iconic accessory Sailor Moon uses is her tiara. Whether it’s a full band or a simple chain with a crescent, pick the look that best suits your style and the feel of your wedding. If you’re crafty, you could even make your own!

Last but not least, the transformation lockets and brooches. You can use these as either necklaces or pins, depending on your needs, and they’re great for brides and bridesmaids alike. You can follow the official look if you like. If that’s a little too cheesy for you, however, there are many variations available that look more like pieces of fine jewelry than costume pieces. Have fun with it!
