Splurge and Save: Bridal Accessories

What’s one of the first things you think of when planning a wedding? If you’re as practical as we are, it’s definitely your budget. You budget dictates many of your wedding planning decisions, but it doesn’t have to hinder the aesthetic you’re going for. In this new column, we’ll spill on wedding saves and splurges. Then, you can be the judge.

First up: Bridal accessories. Want diamonds? Try rhinestones. And gold? Try gold plated. Need Chanel? Buy earrings, not a handbag. You get the picture, right?

Splurge: Kate Spade handbag $398, Oscar de la Renta earrings $275.

Pictured here are some of our favourite bridal accessories on the market. If you like fun, cheeky, and beautifully made handbags, you must love Kate Spade. From champagne bucket bags to this newlywed license plate clutch, Kate Spade will make your big day bright and fun. Oscar de la Renta’s crystal and faux pearl earrings aren’t as expensive as the real thing, but they’re still a few hundred dollars. If you’re going for a chic and elegant look, they may be worth the $275 price tag.

Save: Betsey Johnson earrings $25, Kate Spade ring $24.

If you aren’t up for spending $400 on a Kate Spade handbag but still want some of her cheeky edge in your wedding day accessories, try working this $24 “Mrs” ring into your look. It’s cute, fun, and totally budget friendly. As an alternative to de la Renta’s faux pearl earrings, try Betsey Johnson’s version for a fraction of the price.
