Get Wed on the CN Tower!

In light of Canada Day 2014, we are thinking about the most interesting Canadian destinations to get married. Since Toronto is closest to home for the Bridal Guide, we’ll start there. What’s more iconic than the city’s CN Tower? Nothing. Did you know that you can get married atop the CN Tower? Neither did we. If you’re feeling bold, you and your fiancé can say your “I Dos” while participating in the tower’s EdgeWalk. Here’s how…
You can give EdgeWalk a call (416-601-3833) and book your 116 storey wedding. The ceremonies cost $6000 plus tax, which isn’t a bad price considering that it includes the couple and up to 8 guests on the EdgeWalk. If you have more than 8 guests, the rest may watch from the BaseCamp area located a few storeys below. Those guests will have to buy tickets (or you will have to purchase them). That’s kind of a bummer, but they can save 15% off of their ticket price if they buy online ahead of time.
Of course, these weddings are subject rot electrical storms, high winds, and basically any scary weather. In addition to being subject to weather, you’ll also have to kiss your idea of the perfect wedding dress goodbye. For EdgeWalk weddings, you and your 8 guests must wear walk suits (pictured above). Don’t fret too much, they’re colour coded! White for the bride, pink for the bridesmaids, and black for the men.
