Banana pancakes, Burgers and fries and Chocolate Whoopie Pies, oh my! Keeping a clean and healthy diet doesn’t have to be boring. One of my greatest pleasures in life is spending hours in my kitchen thinking of new ways to make not-so-healthy meals super amazing for you. Get ready to put these next three guilt-free meals in your diet diary.

Banana-Nut-Pancakes

Banana Pancakes
Sunday breakfast is my absolute favourite and banana pancakes fall under my secret craving list and I have finally found a recipe that will satisfy that craving, not sway your diet and supplement the protein, good fat and good carb that you need. Remember to use minimal Maple Syrup. These pancakes are so delicious they don’t need too much sugary syrup.

Ingrediets:
4 egg whites
1/3 cup of rolled oats
1 banana
1 tbsp of flax seed
¼ tsp of cinnamon

Directions
Blend all ingredients in a food processor. Brush pan with some coconut oil and place pan on low to med heat. Once melted you are ready to start pouring the pancake batter.  Remove once lightly browned on each side and enjoy.

Burgers & Fries
Every once in a while I will have a strong craving for a juicy burger and fries. Yah, I said it, AND FRIES. But I just can’t kick that awful feeling I have afterwards…. GUILT. So here is an easy way to make this scrumptious cheat meal a little lighter on the caloric intake.  Have your regular 4oz organic burger patty and replace the bun with a grilled Portobello mushroom. Careful with the condiments, I prefer replacing all condiments with fresh ingredients like guacamole or diced tomato salsa. As for the fries you can easily replace them with baked sweet potato dimes.

Chocolate Avocado Whoopie Pies
Now who doesn’t love chocolate? I personally believe chocolate should have its own isle at my local organic supermarket. Through my obsession, I happen to have fallen upon the most delicious of chocolate treats, the Whoopie Pie with Chocolate Mousse. Packed with plenty protein, natural fat and carbs, this treat holds a special secret ingredient, avocado.

Chocolate Mousse:
-1 ripe avocado
-1/2 cup raw cacao powder
-1/2 cup raw organic honey
-1 tbsp vanilla extra

Combine all ingredients in food processor. Blend well then set aside in a separate bowl and allow to set in fridge.

whoopie

Whoopie Pies:
-4 tbsp coconut flour
-1/2 cup of sorghum or wheat flour
-1/3 cup raw cacao powder
-1.5 tsp of baking powder
-1 1/3 cup of almond milk
-1 egg
-1/2 cup of dark chocolate morsels
-2 tbsp of raw honey
-1 tbsp of coconut oil (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and mix well. Brush a mini cupcake tray with coconut oil. Fill each cupcake slot with the chocolate mixture – about 2 tbsp for each slot. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Set aside and let cool.

Once cooled, spoon 1 tbsp of the chocolate avocado mousse onto one of the whoopie pie halves then top it with another.
