H&M Launches Conscious Collection

H&M launched its Spring Conscious Collection last Thursday to rave reviews. Among the cool girl high-fashion looks were a number of pieces that could be bridal. Budding model, Andreea Diaconu—who is currently one of the faces of the company’s Icons collection—models the looks in the official lookbook.

In case you’re unfamiliar with H&M’s Conscious Collection, the range uses environmentally sustainable fabrics such as organic leather and silk made from mulberry trees. The line is available at about 150 stores and online. Be mindful that the prices run higher than H&M’s usual fare. Overall, the collection is strong and romantic featuring embellished tops, bolero jackets and dresses in pale colours. Below, we chose the looks we believe could be bridal.

First is a short-sleeved lace number with a full, layered skirt. This look could be perfect for an outdoor spring or summer wedding. The model’s beauty look matches the dress perfectly, but we would suggest something a bit more structured with the hair. Second, the collection boasts a solid white suit featuring some laser-cut detail on the arms. If a pantsuit is the look you’re going for on your wedding day, this may be the perfect affordable (and trendy!) option for you. Finally, Diaconu models a youthful cocktail length dress with a heavily jeweled neckline. The contrast of the the formal high-neck lace with the short hemline and costume jewels is the epitome of today’s young high street style.
