One of the most anticipated weddings of 2014 is Kim Kardashian’s and we have a teaser! Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are on the cover of Vogue this April and Kim’s in a Lanvin wedding dress with surprisingly sparse jewellery, leaving her engagement ring front and center. The heading underneath their picture reads “#WORLDSMOSTTALKEDABOUTCOUPLE” – a nod to Kim’s social media following. Looks like even Vogue has to keep up with…the times!

You would never expect a reality star of somewhat salacious beginnings to end up on Vogue but Kim has been on the up and up in the fashion world since dating Kanye West: from attending the Met Costume Gala in 2013 to attending fashion shows in Paris. Even so, this cover comes at a bit of a surprise since editor Anna Wintour is known to be strict about true fashion. But she is a friend of Kanye’s and insists in the editor’s letter that he didn’t “beg” for this opportunity. And while she doesn’t appear on the cover, the couple’s nine-month old daughter North is featured inside. A fashionista in the making!

Kim and Kanye started dating in 2012 and got engaged in October 2013 after the birth of their baby girl. He proposed at AT&T park in San Francisco, after hours, even though the Jumbotron did read “Pleeease Marry Meee!!!”  And although there was no unwitting ballgame crowd, the public got to share their moment on Kim’s Instagram. The sparkler in question? A giant 15-carat diamond ring.  The fashion-conscious couple is slated to get married next month in the City of Lights. Here’s hoping that North is a flower girl at her parents’ wedding!
